The Senior Analyst is responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents and threats to safeguard the firm’s IT infrastructure. This role involves analyzing security alerts, creating & maintaining playbooks, and implementing measures to mitigate risks. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, knowledge of cybersecurity tools, the ability to work collaboratively, as well as basic scripting (Python, PowerShell) abilities.
How You’ll Help Take Us There
- Monitor and analyze security infrastructure to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of sensitive data and systems.
- Assist in conducting in-depth security investigations, analyzing logs, network traffic, and other data sources to identify root causes, assess impact, and gather evidence for response and mitigation actions.
- Develop and maintain threat detection and response playbooks, incorporating industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and lessons learned from previous incidents.
- Conduct proactive cyber threat hunting activities to identify advanced, persistent, or previously undetected threats across the environment.
- Assist in maintenance of the threat intelligence lifecycle, including collection, analysis, dissemination, and continuous improvement to support detection and response efforts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement coordinated security strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Be part of a 24/7/365 SOC, that includes a rotating on-call schedule for overnights/weekends.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of Incident Response Experience: Hands-on experience responding to security incidents, including investigating and mitigating threats such as malware infections, phishing attacks, and network intrusions.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly assess security alerts, distinguish between false positives and true threats, and take appropriate actions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly report on security incidents and explain technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment where threats and challenges are constantly evolving.
- Ability to leverage AI tools to accelerate security analysis, investigation, documentation, and reporting while maintaining sound security judgment.
- Understanding AI risk considerations, including data exposure, model misuse, and secure use of AI tools in regulated environments.
