Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for an R&D Engineer on behalf of our client based in Saffron Walden on a Permanent basis.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Research and review Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs) to identify new component repair capabilities.
- Extract and document technical information, including tooling requirements, test procedures, repair processes, materials and consumables.
- Complete capability application forms and submit technical information through the company's internal system.
- Identify and record relevant part numbers to ensure accurate capability submissions.
- Support the development of new repair processes, tooling solutions and test equipment.
- Provide technical support and repair guidance to production teams.
- Work alongside the R&D Manager to prioritise and manage capability development projects.
- Ensure all new repair capabilities comply with regulatory and company quality standards.
- Design, fabricate and develop tooling and test kits to support production.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
- Background in aerospace engineering or aircraft component maintenance.
- Practical engineering experience within an aerospace environment.
- Experience with Part-145 repairs is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs) and technical engineering documentation.
- Hands-on experience with electronics fabrication, including the ability to build test boxes.
- Strong technical analysis, research and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage workload independently.
- Engineering degree or equivalent relevant experience.
Hours: 40 hour week Mon - Fri
