About the RoleWe are seeking a confident, experienced Relationship Manager to join our City Branch team. The role involves soliciting new business and managing an existing portfolio of commercial banking clients. Delivering exceptional service and achieving income targets are central to this position, alongside full adherence to internal controls and regulatory standards.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Customer & Commercial: Acquire and grow trade/FX clients, negotiate asset and deposit proposals, and manage full lending cycle

  • Colleague Engagement: Train and mentor RMs/RSOs, contribute to internal governance, support data analysis and intern onboarding

  • Control & Compliance: Oversee KYC, EDD, renewals, excess monitoring, and adherence to policy and SLA requirements

  • Support Activities: Act as subject matter expert, support branch-level reporting and planning, and assist in business development tasks

Key Requirements:

  • Degree educated as a minimum
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in commercial banking relationship management / portfolio management role.

  • Ideally 1st line credit analysis training and in-depth commercial / corporate / FI lending knowledge

  • Strong portfolio management and client development skills including negotiation, and leadership skills

  • Ability to coach junior staff, support credit preparation, and drive scorecard KPIs

  • Have full right to work in the UK with no sponsorship or spousal dependant VISA's.
