This opportunity sits with a long-established international sovereign banking group seeking a Treasury Dealer to help manage the investment portfolio of the bank, which includes IG & HY Credits, Convertible Bonds & Securitised products with a focus on Asian credits.
Key responsibilities include:
- Undertaking credit analysis and seeking internal approvals.
- Pricing and executing fixed income transactions including corporate bonds, convertible bonds, interest rate swaps, and other products.
- Supporting credit decision making through fundamental/technical analysis and credit notes.
- Continuously monitoring developments in the markets and assessing risk-reward payoffs.
- Dealing in markets subject to approved dealer limits and adhering to all stipulated processes.
- Investing in permitted markets to generate revenues for the Bank within its risk appetite.
- Ensuring that all credit notes and other documentation are completed on time.
- Helping to ensure adequate controls, procedures, systems, training, and other arrangements are put in place.
- Undertaking projects and assignments as directed by the Supervisor.
- Maintaining the reputation of the Bank in conduct with market counterparties by dealing in a professional manner.
- Reviewing dealing processes and policies and incorporating best practices.
- Helping develop and implement relevant processes that will aid in risk monitoring and reporting.
- Maintaining and updating MIS for closely monitoring the portfolio.
- Preparing credit notes and other notes to aid the investment process.
Key Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
- A degree in finance or other professional qualification.
- At least 2 years’ experience in trading in fixed income markets.
- Good understanding of credit pricing and market technicals.
- Strength of character, credibility, and personal presence with the communication skills to operate confidently and effectively in the market.
- Good understanding of financial markets in general and credit markets in particular.
- Understanding of fixed income and experience in bond trading.
