We are partnering with a high-growth, FCA-regulated financial-services business that is scaling its leadership infrastructure to support the next phase of growth. The organisation operates with institutional discipline, strong governance and a fast-paced, entrepreneurial mindset.
As part of this evolution, the business is appointing an Executive Assistant / Executive Support Manager to work in close partnership with the Executive Chairman and senior leadership team. This is a critical, high-trust role at the centre of executive operations, offering exposure to board-level activity and strategic decision-making.
To be successful in this role, you must be operating (or have operated) as a true extension of a senior executive (Chairman, Exec, CEO, CFO, C Level Individual) - This is not a traditional diary-led EA position. The successful candidate will bring demonstrable experience of formal minute-taking, action tracking and follow-up, ideally at Board and/or Executive Committee level, and will be comfortable holding senior stakeholders to account on behalf of the Executive Chairman. Prior experience within financial services, fintech or a similarly regulated environment is strongly preferred, given the governance, confidentiality and pace required.
Other Mandatorys are:
- Location – Are you comfortable with the role being based in Solihull?
- Office presence – At least initially, the expectation is for a relatively visible and hands-on presence, given the working style of the CEO and COO typically in office 5 days a week. This may mean attending the Solihull office up to 4/5 times per week, particularly where diary alignment is required. Are you comfortable with this level of office engagement?
- Minute-taking experience – Please confirm that you have proven experience of minute-taking at senior leadership / C-suite / Board level, including accurate write-ups, tracking actions, and managing follow-ups.
The Role
This position provides senior-level executive support to the Executive Chairman (approximately 70% focus), alongside broader support to the Executive Team (approximately 30%). The successful candidate will act as a gatekeeper, coordinator and enabler—bringing structure, pace and accountability to executive priorities. The role requires discretion, confidence and sound judgement, with the ability to operate autonomously in a dynamic, regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactive diary management for the Executive Chairman, balancing complex and competing priorities
- Full coordination of travel arrangements, itineraries and logistics
- Preparation of agendas, briefing papers and executive correspondence
- Minute-taking, action tracking and follow-up to ensure delivery against agreed outcomes
Secretariat & Governance
- Acting on behalf of the Executive Chairman to follow up executive actions and commitments
- Engaging confidently with senior stakeholders, maintaining authority and professionalism
- Supporting board and senior leadership processes with precision and confidentiality
Reporting, Analysis & Executive Packs
- Producing high-quality reports for executive and board consumption
- Creating professional presentation packs using Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Analysing and consolidating data to support informed executive decision-making
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrable experience supporting senior executives within financial services, fintech or similarly regulated environments
- Highly organised, detail-oriented and comfortable handling sensitive information
- Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to operate at C-suite and board level
- Ideally have experience in Microsoft products (Excel / PowerPoint)
- Pragmatic, delivery-focused and able to work with minimal supervision
Why This Role
This is a rare opportunity to step into a true executive partnership role within a growing financial-services organisation. The position offers meaningful responsibility, visibility at the highest level of the business and the opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping how the executive function operates as the company continues to scale.
