Job Purpose

Cashier / Teller - Accountabilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting visitors warmly, minimizing wait times, and quickly resolving routine queries.
- Process financial transactions—cash, cheque and electronic deposits/withdrawals, transfers, passbook updates and cheque preparation—accurately and efficiently.
- Handle and reconcile cash daily: maintain precise till balances, prepare banking lodgements, and investigate any discrepancies.
- Maintain cash tills in sterling and multiple foreign currencies, including processing staff and customer travel money orders.
- Handle the purchase and sale of foreign currency notes and travellers’ cheques.
- Replenish and manage ATMs, ensuring optimal cash levels and accurate transaction records.
- Ensure compliance with all operational procedures and regulatory requirements (FCA Conduct Rules, anti-money laundering, financial crime prevention, data protection).
- Promote bank products and digital services—recognise cross-sell opportunities, refer customers to specialists, and demonstrate self-service tools.
- Support vulnerable customers by identifying needs, notifying Member/Customer Services, and ensuring appropriate safeguards.
- Assist with branch operations and administration—from audits and custodianship tasks to account openings, mail, and diary management.
- Uphold branch standards by keeping your workspace clean and organised, operating within mandate limits, and living our brand values.

Whole Package Approximate Yearly Value – £42,000.00 – £45,000.00
Financial Cash Elements
- Cash yearly salary of from £32,000.00 to £33,600.00
- Cash yearly bonus of up to 12.5% – 20% - £5,000.00 – £7,000.00

- High Pension contribution of up to £5,000.00 per annum – Pension % based on annual basic salary (all paid by the bank – not you)
