We are currently looking for full time/part time waiting staff to join our team at Nor\’ Loft, the rooftop Champagne lounge located within the Market Street hotel.
A passion and knowledge about food, ingredients and drinks will be a required essential base. Passion for the hospitality industry is essential as you will need to learn the extensive champagne and spirits list and quickly familiarise yourself with our Bites & Nibbles menu which changes seasonally.
You should have personality in abundance to interact with our guests, good sales skills, the ability to multi-task and stay calm under pressure. Previous experience in the hospitality industry is highly recommended however if you have a passion for food & drink and enjoy interacting with customers then the rest can be taught.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcoming and greeting our guests and showing them to their table
- Taking orders for food and drink, entering this onto the EPOS and communicating clearly and effectively with the kitchen team
- Serving food and drinks to customers in line with our designated procedures
- Always being passionate and knowledgeable about our the Nor\’ Loft & Market Street hotel
- Clearing, cleaning and tidying tables, resetting tables ready for service
- Communicating effectively with the whole team to ensure our high standards are met.
- Attend training and meetings as required
Hours of Work:
We have a 20 hours contract available. Working hours are varied and include breakfast, day and evening shifts for you to take advantage of to fit around any commitments; plus, huge opportunities for progression and to learn new skills.
Your rate of pay will vary dependant on your experience, starting from ÂŁ12.21 p/h, plus additional tips, up to ÂŁ4000 per annum (based on full time hours). We pay for every hour you work
Role Requirements:
- Experience working in a 4 or 5 star hotel environment is essential for this position
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Must have a valid right to work in the United Kingdom
- Flexibility is a must as you will be required to cover shifts over the weekends
