About The Role

We are Market Rocket, the UK's leading Amazon agency. If your expertise lies in not just meeting but exceeding ambitious performance targets, we're looking for someone like you. We are seeking an Amazon Advertising Executive with experience to join the Advertising team and enhance our capabilities. Reporting to the Head of Amazon, this role is pivotal in steering our clients' advertising campaigns and commercial performance on Amazon's Seller and Vendor Central to new heights.

The ideal candidate will possess a good understanding of Amazon's advertising tools, including but not limited to Sponsored Ads. You will be expected to analyse complex data sets, craft bespoke advertising strategies, and continuously optimise campaigns for maximum efficiency and ROI. Your responsibilities will encompass managing a portfolio of clients, understanding their unique needs, and tailoring advertising solutions to meet these needs. The role demands a balance of analytical acumen, commercial awareness and creative thinking, enabling you to craft compelling ad content that resonates with target audiences. This is your chance to become part of a rapidly expanding company that is a respected cornerstone of the online selling community - one of the most high-growth sectors this year.

Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for managing and growing the ad-attributed revenue of a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple categories. Your success will be measured by your ability to consistently exceed revenue targets and KPIs.
  • Develop and communicate understanding of product category dynamics, shopper behaviour and implement strategies to climb sales ranks.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in forecasting and allocating appropriate budgets for advertising campaigns, ensuring maximum return on investment and aligning with clients' financial goals.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive advertising strategies, leveraging Amazon's advertising platform and related tools.
  • Analyse complex data sets to uncover insights, forecast trends, and optimise campaigns for peak performance.
  • Collaborate closely with a wider team of Account, Content and Brand Managers to ensure a cohesive approach to the clients' overall Amazon strategy.
  • Offer expert advice and recommendations to clients, helping them to understand their advertising performance metrics and how these translate into broader business impacts.
  • Manage and develop client relationships with a view to growing commercial partnerships.
  • Support the Head of Amazon in the development of new client offerings, product adoption and overall enhancement of Market Rocket's Advertising capability.

The Successful Applicant:

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Amazon Ads (esp. Sponsored Ads, with DSP/AMC a bonus).
  • Has a good understanding of the Amazon retail platform and commercial considerations for Vendors, Sellers (or both).
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment in which cross-functional teamwork and initiative are essential.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to translate these into commercial strategies.
  • Proven communication, listening and presenting skills.
  • Experience in a client-facing role & ability to build relationships.
  • Independent and goal-oriented, with an exceptional ability to create and perform to KPIs and targets.
  • Some experience of 3rd party Amazon tools and resources.
  • Basic understanding of Amazon listings health, content optimisation, SEO and inventory management. (Nice to have - these are not core to the role.)
