The Opportunity

A highly successful, bootstrapped B2B software company is looking for a Community and Events Lead to build out their events and partnership function from scratch. Operating in the private investment and corporate advisory space, this business has scaled to over £18 million in revenue entirely through product-led growth. This is the company’s first dedicated hire in this area. You will take complete ownership of designing a world-class community program, building exclusive environments where senior private equity investors, consulting partners, and compliance leaders can connect, share insights, and engage with the product.

Why this role?

  • Zero-to-one ownership: Establish a high-impact community function from the ground up, with the budget and backing to build a team around you as the program scales.
  • Incredible traction: Join a profitable, fast-growing scale-up with an exceptional industry reputation and an active user base among the world's leading investment firms.
  • Significant budget control: Manage a first-year program budget of £350,000 to £500,000 to design and execute premium, memorable experiences.

What you will be doing

  • Design the community calendar: Build and run an end-to-end events calendar, including senior-level hosted dinners, collaborative forums for consultants and investors, and intimate roundtables.
  • Manage major industry events: Lead the strategy and execution for 15 to 25 annual industry conferences across Europe and North America, including sponsorship, side events, and speaker placement.
  • Champion client advisory groups: Launch and manage a dedicated advisory council of senior compliance and investment professionals to help guide product development.
  • Build community infrastructure: Establish recurring local meetups in high-density regions like London and New York, and oversee digital community channels.
  • Partner with sales teams: Collaborate closely with account executives to align events with sales pipelines, ensuring key accounts are actively engaged and seamlessly followed up.
  • Track commercial impact: Own the program budget and measure event success on relationship building, qualified leads, and influenced pipeline.

What we are looking for

  • Industry experience: Around 4 to 8 years of experience managing B2B corporate events and community programs, ideally within financial technology, B2B software, or companies serving the investment or consulting sectors.
  • Audience network: A strong, existing network within the private equity or professional advisory community, with the ability to secure attendance from senior stakeholders.
  • Exceptional execution: Proven success running multiple complex events in parallel without losing attention to detail.
  • Commercial focus: A track record of measuring events by revenue impact and relationship quality rather than simple registration numbers.
  • Hands-on approach: Someone who is excited about both high-level strategy and the practical details of venue sourcing, negotiations, and on-the-night management.
  • AI literacy: Comfort using modern AI and productivity tools to streamline your day-to-day workflow.
