About our client
Our client is a fast-growing, private equity-backed B2B SaaS business delivering workflow and operational management software for field-based and industrial sectors. Their digital platform enables organisations to streamline operations, improve safety, and gain complete visibility over daily operations.
Having established strong product-market fit and solid organic inbound demand, the business is entering its next major growth phase. With clear backing and an agile leadership team, they are now seeking a commercially driven go-to-market leader to build a predictable, multi-channel growth engine.
The role
As VP of marketing, you will take full ownership of the demand generation strategy, campaign velocity, and go-to-market execution. Reporting directly to the CFO/COO, you will build and iterate quarterly GTM plans designed to deliver a steady-state run rate of ~£300k in new ARR per month.
Working closely with the VP of sales and the chief product officer, you will bridge high-level strategy and commercial execution, turning outreach investments and modern tooling into reliable pipeline across SMB and mid-market accounts.
What you will be doing
- Own and execute the overarching multi-channel GTM strategy to scale the business from £6m to £20m ARR
- Transition the lead generation engine from pure organic inbound to a balanced model with aggressive, data-driven outbound capabilities
- Direct line-manage, coach, and elevate the existing marketing team of 6 to 7 headcount
- Champion the pragmatic use of modern MarTech, RevOps principles, data enrichment tools (such as Clay), and AI workflows to automate outreach
- Partner closely with sales leadership to review funnel health, unblock conversion bottlenecks, and accelerate deal velocity
- Collaborate with product leadership to ensure go-to-market campaigns reflect core customer personas and market positioning
- Maintain decision-grade analytics alongside FP&A and RevOps, tracking CAC, payback periods, LTV, and channel ROI
- Elevate brand presence across digital channels, trade media, and events to solidify our client's market position
What our client is looking for
- Proven track record scaling a B2B SaaS business through the £5m to £20m ARR growth phase
- Demonstrated expertise balancing high-velocity inbound motions with targeted outbound outreach and account-based strategies
- Strong commercial and analytical mindset, with deep comfort around SaaS funnel metrics and pipeline mathematics
- Hands-on familiarity with modern RevOps workflows, CRM automation, data enrichment tools, and AI-assisted GTM platforms
- Experienced people leader capable of structuring, mentoring, and getting the best out of an established team
- Pragmatic approach to hybrid working, with the ability to spend two days per week in the office for team collaboration and strategic alignment
What success looks like (12 months)
- A predictable GTM engine generating qualified pipeline aligned to the £300k/month new ARR target
- A successfully diversified lead engine with strong outbound outreach capabilities up and running
- Established pipeline traction within mid-market target accounts
- Clear, trusted reporting dashboards providing full visibility over funnel conversion and ROI
- A high-performing marketing function operating with execution speed, clarity, and modern automation tooling
