Role Description
This full-time Cleaner role at Market My Firm is an on-site position based in Peterborough. The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace, including offices, meeting rooms, kitchens, restrooms, and shared areas. Daily tasks include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, emptying trash and recycling, wiping surfaces, and restocking supplies. The role also involves reporting maintenance issues, following health and safety guidelines, and ensuring cleaning equipment and materials are used and stored properly. The Cleaner works collaboratively with office staff to support a professional, comfortable environment for both team members and visitors.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform general deep cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing high-touch surfaces.
- Experience maintaining restrooms, kitchens, and break areas, including replenishing supplies and managing waste and recycling.
- Knowledge of safe use, storage, and handling of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and materials, with attention to health and safety standards.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and time management skills to complete tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and responding to cleaning requests.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift moderate weights, and move equipment as needed.
- Previous experience in commercial or office cleaning is preferred but not required.
- Availability to work full-time on-site in Peterborough and follow company policies and procedures.
