Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for experienced Bench Joiners / Cabinet Makers on behalf of our client, a manufacturing company based in Witham, on a temporary to permanent basis. The successful candidates will have previous Bench Joinery or Cabinet Making experience and will be confident working independently, reading technical drawings and producing high-quality finished retail products.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assembling timber components and products to specification
- Reading and working from technical drawings
- Operating woodworking machinery safely and accurately
- Using saws, routers and planers
- Sanding, scraping and planing final assembled timber products to achieve a flawless finish
- Preparing finished products ready for varnishing, staining or painting
- Ensuring work is completed accurately and to the required quality standards
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Carrying out any additional tasks required for the effective operation of the department.
Experience, education & qualifications
- Previous experience as a Bench Joiner or Cabinet Maker is essential
- Confident reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Experience operating woodworking machinery and using saws, routers and planers
- Strong practical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Able to work independently and get on with the task in hand
- Health and safety conscious
- Reliable, hardworking and able to produce work to a high standard
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm
Salary: Up to £18.00 per hour, depending on experience
