Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for Fabricators for our client based on the outskirts of Braintree (Great Notley). This is an exceptional entry level opportunity with an excellent pay rate for candidates who have an interest in the construction or production industry with full on the job training provided. The successful candidates must be familiar with hand tools and power tools and will be able to read tape measures and technical drawings. A positive attitude and a strong will to learn is essential to succeed in this position. The main purpose of the position will be to assist in the construction of floor panels, wall panels and roof panels to be used when building houses and apartments. Roles & Responsibilities: * Assembling steel frames using hand tools and power tools * Reading technical drawings * Taking measurements * Fitting panels and insulation * Fitting windows and doors * Glazing (inserting glass into window panels) * Cutting holes for ventilation * Effective build/assembly of products to required standards in line with technical drawings * Manufacture and assembly to time critical production schedules * Carry out thorough quality inspections and/or testing as required at relevant work stations. * Carry out work in a safe and timely manner with a range of instruments and tools provided * To assist in any other production activities on other work areas/stations * Adherence to the Company RAMS * General factory/production/warehouse duties * Manual handling Ideally the candidate will have the following experience: * Some practical knowledge gained from studies or work experience * Reliable, punctual team player * Strong willingness to learn * Interest in construction or manufacturing or production * Familiar with hand tools and power tools * Ability to read measurements and technical drawings * Experience and knowledge of using hand tools, manual handling and heavy lifting * Health and safety conscious * Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all areas of work Working hours are Monday – Friday 06:00am – 14:00pm.
