Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Engineering Operative on behalf of our client based in Sudbury.

This role involves operating PEM inserting machines and spot welding equipment to assemble sheet metal components, ensuring products are manufactured safely, accurately, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate PEM inserting and spot welding machines.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and works orders.
  • Select the correct fasteners, tooling, and welding settings.
  • Inspect completed components to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Carry out basic machine adjustments and report any faults.
  • Complete production paperwork where required.
  • Follow all Health & Safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
  • Assist in other production areas when required. About You
  • Previous engineering or manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Reliable with a flexible approach to work.
