Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Sandblasting Operative on behalf of our client based in Bishops Stortford.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Grit blast a variety of different tanks and accessory products under controlled conditions.
- Clean and prepare tanks, including the application of adhesive materials for transducers.
- Assemble fixtures and jigs prior to bonding.
- Inspect finished goods before they are issued to the assembly line.
- Maintain machines and ensure good housekeeping standards within the blasting and bonding areas.
- Read drawings and follow work instructions to a high standard.
- Maintain accurate records and work in line with process control requirements.
- Manage workload effectively within a manufacturing and operations environment.
- Carry out duties safely and to the required quality standards.
Experience, education & qualifications
- Previous grit blasting, powder coating or similar finishing work experience.
- Around 2 years’ experience in a relevant position, or the ability to demonstrate a good understanding of and enthusiasm for the role.
- Ability to read drawings and follow work instructions to a high level.
- Understanding of time management, logistics and process control.
- Ability to maintain accurate records.
- Self-motivated with a positive outlook and able to work well under pressure while handling multiple tasks.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally at all levels.

Mon-Fri 07:30-16:00
Salary
£27,000 - £28,000 (DOE)
