Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical) for our client based in Witham. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading manufacturing business, responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on a range of production machinery. Working both independently and as part of a small team, you will play a key role in ensuring machinery operates efficiently whilst minimising downtime. The successful candidate will be a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience gained within a manufacturing or production environment. Knowledge of PLCs would be advantageous. Roles & Responsibilities: * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery. * Respond to machine breakdowns and carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding. * Diagnose faults on electrical, mechanical and instrumentation systems. * Assist with dismantling, repairing and reassembling production equipment. * Complete scheduled maintenance and continuous improvement activities. * Ensure machinery is operating efficiently to maximise production output. * Maintain accurate maintenance records where required. * Work safely in accordance with company Health & Safety procedures. * Support production teams to minimise downtime. Ideally the candidate will have the following experience: * Previous experience as a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment. * Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills. * Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance. * Knowledge of PLC fault finding would be advantageous. * Level 3 Diploma, NVQ Level 3, HNC, 18th Edition or City & Guilds 2382 qualification. * Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Flexible approach to working hours to meet business demands. * Full UK driving licence. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4pm, with overtime available at weekends.
