Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Monitoring Surveying Associate on behalf of our client, a well‐established professional services consultancy based in London. This is an experienced‐level role within the Monitoring Surveying and Due Diligence division, encompassing both technical and commercial responsibilities. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong, reasoned application of competency and will play a key role in the delivery and management of monitoring surveying commissions of varying scale and complexity.
The role is primarily based from the London office, however regular travel is required to meet project demands. Projects are predominantly located across the South‐East, though nationwide travel may be required. Flexibility is essential, including working additional hours when necessary to meet project requirements.
The position will cover a range of monitoring instructions, from traditional institutional bank monitoring (short‐term interests) through to institutional funds and corporate landlord monitoring (long‐term interests), working across a diverse client base.
Our client operates a collaborative working culture and encourages regular office attendance to support teamwork, knowledge sharing, development, and career progression. Hybrid working is available up to 2 days per week, subject to business needs and company policy.
Main Purpose of the Role
To deliver high‐quality Monitoring Surveying and Due Diligence services across a broad range of commissions, while supporting business growth, mentoring colleagues, and maintaining strong client relationships.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Preparing detailed technical reports, including the effective use of graphical content to provide clear and reasoned conclusions
- Chairing meetings and reporting directly to clients
- Preparing and delivering presentations at both internal and external meetings
- Delivering high‐quality work through the application of in‐depth technical knowledge, judgement, and experience
- Managing and overseeing the performance of internal and external team members
- Managing time spent on commissions against agreed fees to ensure project profitability
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
Additional Responsibilities
- Attending networking and business development events aligned with the company's corporate strategy
- Actively promoting the company's services and professional reputation
- Supporting Responsible Business initiatives, including careers fairs and work experience programmes
- Providing support to Directors, Partners, and other senior leaders within the business
- Contributing to the wider operation and management of the Partnership
- Participating in staff appraisals, recruitment activities, and supporting the training and development of colleagues towards professional qualifications
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in Monitoring Surveying and Due Diligence
- Strong technical knowledge and commercial awareness
- Experience managing projects and supervising team members
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confident presenting to clients and stakeholders
- Ability to manage workloads and deadlines effectively
- Willingness to travel and work flexibly to meet project requirements
Working Pattern & Benefits
