Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Industrial Mechanical Engineer on behalf of our client based in Harlow on a Permanent basis.

  • Roles & Responsibilities
  • Strip, inspect, repair and rebuild single and three-phase electric motors.
  • Diagnose, repair and rebuild industrial pumps, including freshwater and sewage pumps.
  • Repair and maintain industrial gearboxes.
  • Strip, repair and rebuild industrial fans and blower units.
  • Diagnose and repair a range of industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
  • Carry out mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting.
  • Carry out electrical fault-finding where required.
  • Work with electrical controls and associated equipment.
  • Test and inspect repaired equipment to ensure it is operating correctly.
  • Manufacture, rebuild and repair components where required.
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with company procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
  • Complete work efficiently to meet production and customer requirements.
  • Participate in overtime and call-out work when required, which is paid at premium rates.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong experience repairing and rebuilding industrial pumps and electric motors.
  • Experience working with industrial fans, blowers, gearboxes and machinery.
  • Good mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Previous experience with single and three-phase motors.
  • Electrical engineering experience would be highly advantageous.
  • Experience working with electrical controls is desirable.
  • Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs effectively.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety within an engineering/workshop environment.
  • Reliable, hardworking and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
