Market 36 Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of one of our clients based in Earls Colne, with occasional work at their Halstead site. We are seeking a Customer Account Administrator, with the potential for a Manager level role for the right candidate. This is a full-time, office-based position in a busy and collaborative environment. The successful applicant must be flexible to work at both sites when required, especially to support during periods of annual leave or peak operational demands.
About the Role: The Customer Account Administrator will act as the key point of contact for all client communication and be responsible for ensuring exceptional levels of customer service. This role is not limited to office duties—a hands-on approach is essential. You’ll gain a strong understanding of the warehouse operations and may occasionally assist with order picking/packing during busy periods. This insight is vital to providing comprehensive support to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Account Management
- Support the onboarding of new clients
- Assist with monitoring account health via the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Help resolve customer service issues in collaboration with other departments
- Support delivery of new client campaigns and procedures
- Maintain accurate client and order data in WMS
- Upload stock/order spreadsheets and provide relevant software templates
- Provide regular courier and carrier updates to clients
- Handle carrier-related tasks, including raising claims and updating rates
- Escalate delivery issues to the management team
- Handle telephone and email enquiries
- Meet and greet site visitors
- Provide administrative support across the business as needed
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in a fulfilment, eCommerce, logistics or similar setting (e.g. courier services)
- Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- A proactive team player who is also comfortable working independently
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and WMS platforms
- A practical mindset and willingness to assist with warehouse operations when required
Requirements:
