Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a CNC Operative to join our client’s established engineering and manufacturing team based in Witham, Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous CNC machine operating experience who is looking to develop their skills within a busy engineering environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machinery, producing components to engineering drawings and maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating CNC machinery safely and efficiently
- Loading and unloading components into CNC machines
- Following engineering drawings and work instructions
- Checking components meet required specifications
- Carrying out basic machine adjustments where required
- Changing tools and assisting with tool changes
- Using measuring equipment including verniers and micrometers
- Completing quality checks throughout production
- Inspecting finished components using appropriate measuring equipment
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience operating CNC machinery
- Experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings
- Good attention to detail
- Experience using basic inspection equipment
- Good work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
