Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Resin Shop Operative on behalf of our client. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing business offering a permanent position following a successful temporary period. Working within a clean room environment, you will be responsible for producing high-quality components while adhering to strict health, safety and quality standards.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Follow all Health & Safety procedures, including the use of protective suits, gloves, respirators, safety footwear and local extraction systems where required.
  • Work within the Resin Shop Clean Room, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping.
  • Assemble moulds and prepare them for production.
  • Mix and pour polyurethane and epoxy resins, hardeners and fillers in accordance with work instructions.
  • Operate vacuum systems to fill moulds with resin.
  • Demould finished products and prepare them for further processing.
  • Sand, polish and finish components to required standards.
  • Glue flanges to receptacles.
  • Package finished products ready for dispatch.
  • Occasionally assist with final inspection activities by following detailed inspection procedures.
  • Maintain a flexible approach to support production requirements and customer demands.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous manufacturing or production experience is desirable.
  • Ability to follow written work instructions accurately.
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Experience working within a clean room environment would be advantageous.
  • Ability to work safely whilst handling resins, chemicals and manufacturing equipment.
  • Willingness to learn additional processes and responsibilities within the Resin Shop.
  • Strong team-working skills and a positive attitude.

Additional duties may include:

  • Sand blasting components.
  • Cleaning and preparing metal moulds.
  • Applying release agents and assembling moulds.
  • Weighing and mixing polyurethane and epoxy resins, hardeners and fillers.
  • Operating vacuum filling systems.
  • Supporting other areas of the Resin Shop as required.

Hours

  • Day Shift
  • 38 hours per week

Salary

  • £12.71 per hour
  • Eligible for annual bonus scheme
