Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Sandblasting Operative on behalf of our client based in Bishops Stortford.

The successful candidate will work within the Production Department and will be responsible for media blasting and bonding transducers to tanks for capital equipment.

Roles & Responsibilities

Grit blast a variety of different tanks and accessory products under controlled conditions.

Clean and prepare tanks, including the application of adhesive materials for transducers.

Assemble fixtures and jigs prior to bonding.

Inspect finished goods before they are issued to the assembly line.

Maintain machines and ensure good housekeeping standards within the blasting and bonding areas.

Read drawings and follow work instructions to a high standard.

Maintain accurate records and work in line with process control requirements.

Manage workload effectively within a manufacturing and operations environment.

Carry out duties safely and to the required quality standards.

Experience, education & qualifications

Previous grit blasting, powder coating or similar finishing work experience.

Around 2 years’ experience in a relevant position, or the ability to demonstrate a good understanding of and enthusiasm for the role.

Ability to read drawings and follow work instructions to a high level.

Understanding of time management, logistics and process control.

Ability to maintain accurate records.

Self-motivated with a positive outlook and able to work well under pressure while handling multiple tasks.

Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally at all levels.

Hours: Mon-Fri 07:30-16:00 Salary: £27,000 - £28,000 (DOE) Location: Bishops Stortford
