This role is largely remote with travel to London, Manchester, Peterborough, Stoke or Chesterfield when required. We are looking for a Senior Assurance Analyst to play a key role in delivering our annual assurance plan and strengthening our risk and compliance framework across the business. This is a hands-on role covering the full assurance lifecycle from planning and testing through to reporting and follow-up. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to identify risks, agree remediation actions, and drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the delivery of the annual assurance plan by identifying risks and designing effective testing approaches.
- Plan, execute, and document assurance reviews, producing clear and insightful reports.
- Collate and analyse testing results and present findings to key stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with business areas to agree robust remediation actions and track progress.
- Maintain accurate assurance records, including updating the Risk Management System.
- Support senior management with high-quality risk and compliance reporting.
- Build strong working relationships across the Group, following up on actions and escalating where needed.
- Support the development of team capability and promote a collaborative, professional culture.
Skills, Experience & Knowledge
- Experience working in an assurance or audit role.
- Strong understanding of testing approaches and assurance methodologies.
- Knowledge of audit, assurance, and risk management frameworks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong planning, organisation, and attention to detail.
- Confident communicator, able to influence and engage stakeholders.
- Self-sufficient, proactive, and comfortable working with remote teams.
Desirable
- Experience in IT audit, data or information governance, or risk management.
- Knowledge of FCA regulatory requirements and/or the insurance sector.
- Experience working closely with senior management.
- Relevant professional qualifications (ICA, IRM, IIA) or willingness to work towards them.
