Markerstudy is one of the UK's leading insurance groups, with a fast-growing Commercial business at the heart of our strategy. We’re looking for a Governance Oversight Manager to play a critical leadership role in ensuring strong customer outcomes, robust product governance, and regulatory compliance across our Commercial portfolio. This is a high-impact role sitting close to senior leadership, with real influence over how we design, govern and manage our commercial products and customer journeys.
What you’ll be doing:
- Product Governance: Leading Product Reviews, Fair Value Assessments, and Product Governance forums, ensuring robust governance across the Commercial product suite.
- Customer & Regulatory Oversight: Ensuring compliance with Consumer Duty, GIPP reforms and FCA expectations, with clear, insightful reporting to senior forums.
- Customer Committees & MI: Owning Commercial customer committee reporting, aligning insight to agreed customer outcome pillars.
- Incident Management: Overseeing the consistent and compliant management of incidents across the Commercial estate.
- Incentive Governance: Independently managing incentive scheme governance, ensuring fair, compliant and well-controlled outcomes.
- Leadership contribution: Acting as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders and contributing to strategic delivery and EBITDA growth.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in UK financial services, ideally commercial insurance.
- Strong background in governance, oversight, conduct risk or product governance.
- A solid understanding of Consumer Duty, FCA regulation and GIPP.
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and governance forums.
- Strong analytical and MI capability (Excel essential; Power BI highly desirable).
- A curious, proactive mindset with the confidence to challenge constructively.
