Job Summary

Would you like to develop a career within underwriting at a great insurance company? Your role will support the renewals team, handling a variety of fresh life science and construction renewals based in our new Leeds office. This is an initial one‑year fixed‑term contract with flexible 3‑day office, 2‑day work‑from‑home schedule.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing and maintaining a high standard of technical underwriting support to the renewals team
  • Accurate and timely input of data into relevant underwriting systems
  • Liaising with brokers as required
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships internally and externally
  • Requesting and reviewing survey reports and issuing risk requirements to brokers
  • Managing diary items and chasing up responses
  • Following up outstanding renewal information with brokers via phone and email
  • Handling internal and external enquiries by email and telephone
  • Assisting the team and wider business with ad‑hoc projects

Required Skills

  • Good written and spoken communication skills
  • High accuracy and attention to detail
  • Computer literate with strong understanding of in‑house systems
  • Numerical and analytical ability, with a Maths GCSE grade A‑C preferred
  • Willingness to study for CII qualifications – fully funded by the company
