Overview
As an Employment Services Advisor / Solicitor on a fixed-term contract, you will deliver practical, commercially focused employment law advice to health and social care employers by telephone. You’ll manage a varied caseload, respond within service levels, and build trusted relationships with clients across care homes, charities, and healthcare providers. The role sits in our Employment Advice Line, collaborating with colleagues to provide timely, high-quality guidance. This is a flexible, hybrid role with meaningful client-facing work that supports transformation and compliance in a specialist sector.

Responsibilities
- Provide pragmatic, telephone-based employment law advice to health and social care employers
- Advise on disciplinary matters, grievances, dismissals, absence management, performance issues, and employee relations
- Manage a busy, varied client enquiry caseload
- Respond to client queries within agreed service levels
- Deliver excellent client service and build trusted client relationships
- Collaborate with colleagues across the Employment Advice Line and other employment teams as needed
- Maintain accurate electronic records and documentation
Key requirements
- Strong employment law experience in private practice, an advice line, consultancy, or in-house
- Experience advising on a broad range of employment law matters
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Confidence delivering advice over the telephone
- Commercial and pragmatic problem-solving approach
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
