We are looking for an individual to be the primary interface between the Disbursements department and our internal and external customers. The opportunity: This position is responsible for owning the service expectations for disbursement-related activities, being the first point of contact for Markel internal customers and suppliers, and meeting with key customers to identify operational or service-related issues or improvements which need addressing to maximize operational efficiency.
What you’ll be doing:
- Represent the Disbursements function by challenging business and process owners in a positive and proactive manner to collaboratively improve operational efficiency.
- Provide day-to-day guidance and troubleshooting support.
- Accountable as key person for escalation of disbursements’ related issues.
- Manage relationships with key business contacts.
- Implement effective communication mechanisms to meet customer and supplier expectations.
- Work with peers to shape, drive and deliver the team’s operational and strategic goals.
- Understand customer needs and develop plans to quickly and effectively address them.
- Identify and resolve complex business problems that require in-depth analysis and judgment to develop solutions.
- Use technology to best leverage available resources and complete tasks in the most efficient and effective manner.
- Participate in business projects, as they arise.
- Collaborate with teammates and initiate ideas with management to identify, design, and implement process improvements for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
