The opportunity: Change Delivery is a global function that works with the Board and executive management to provide full research and development to advise and deliver critical initiatives. The International portfolio comprises initiatives across a wide range of regions and types including but not limited to: product launches, new distribution channels, setting up new functions/teams, acquisitions, and operational efficiency programmes.
Working as part of a small team, the individual will be responsible for supporting strategic priorities by implementing business and technical solutions, within agreed timescales and budget.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead projects that support International strategic objectives.
- Ensuring business benefits are delivered in line with specified tolerances of time, cost, quality and risk.
- Managing, reporting and presenting progress, business engagement of the benefits from start-up, to closure and benefits realisation duties and responsibilities.
- Analysing project proposals to resolve approach, resource requirements and limitations.
- Supporting business case development and tracking throughout delivery planning and supervising the project including stage and exception plans.
- Mobilising and motivating the project team to deliver and contribute effectively.
- Reporting project risks, including the development of contingency plans.
- Supervising and reporting overall progress, resourcing and budget, initiating corrective action where vital.
- Maintaining project governance, change control and configuration management.
- Maintaining an awareness of potential dependencies with other projects and their impact.
- Identifying and acquiring support and advice required for the management, planning and control of the project.
- Conducting lessons learned to review implementation approach and management, preparing any follow-on action recommendations.
- Working with IT stakeholders to ensure products are delivered to technical standards.
- Partner with the team to ensure a smooth transition to business as usual position and ensuring benefits are owned and measured.
Our must-haves:
- Prince 2 or equivalent Project Management certification would be beneficial.
- Proven understanding of MS applications and project management tools, for the planning, tracking and manipulation of project plans, data and MI.
- Experience of working in project management and driving business outcomes.
- Strong capability in project financial management and presentation skills.
- Previous experience in change management/business improvement experience.
- Attention to detail in planning and execution.
- Knowledge of Agile delivery methodology desirable.
- Experience in vendor contract negotiation and management desirable.
