Overview
In this role you will shape the UK portfolio by calibrating pricing models and analyzing performance to drive profitability. You’ll partner with Underwriters, Distribution Leaders and executives to translate data into commercial decisions, building new analytical capabilities and portfolio management frameworks. This position sits at the heart of the business, offering visibility with senior leadership and a chance to influence growth strategy through analytics and AI-enabled decision making.

Responsibilities
- Lead pricing model calibration and portfolio analysis across multiple product lines
- Deliver strategic insights to influence underwriting and growth decisions
- Analyze portfolio performance, identify trends and recommend profitability actions
- Support pricing of new products, schemes and delegated authority business
- Partner with Underwriters to understand performance drivers and opportunities
- Develop dashboards, MI and analytical tools for decision-making
- Contribute to Quarterly Business Reviews and portfolio strategy discussions
- Help build and develop a growing portfolio management capability in the UK
Key requirements
- Qualified Actuary status
- Significant experience in insurance pricing and portfolio management
- Proven experience calibrating and developing pricing models
- Strong analytical and data manipulation skills
- Experience using SQL, Databricks, Python or similar tools
- Ability to work autonomously and own complex projects
- Outstanding communication and influencing skills
- Experience translating technical insights into business recommendations
- Commercial lines experience preferred or strong pricing expertise with a commercial mindset
