The opportunity: The claims team works collaboratively alongside the underwriting function in order to facilitate close communication and exchange of ideas. The Management & Transactional Insurance, Cyber and TMT claims team handles claims for multiple underwriting teams within Wholesale Claims. This includes a broad range of UK and international claims arising from Transactional Insurance, Cyber, Technology Professional Indemnity, Media Professional Indemnity and Intellectual Property policies.
Responsibilities:
- Analyse Key Performance Indicators in the team and assist the team meet their Key Performance Indicators.
- Assist the team by helping to produce loss runs, manage statistics, complete diaries, process closures, process payments and help the managers allocate claims.
- Help produce monthly and quarterly reports, be involved in the creation and maintenance of claim trackers and be involved in claim coding and reporting on this.
- Help organise team wide training and events, including room booking, liaising with external speakers and arranging for invites to be sent internally and, for larger events, externally.
- Support the Claims Managers and other senior leaders in the development and implementation of the Claims Business Plan and strategy of MINT.
- Be collaborative in your approach by sharing any improvements with the other team members or claims teams.
- Drive team broker interaction to deliver a more customer focused and value adding service, including supporting an organised broker interaction program on an annual basis.
Qualifications / Must-haves:
- There is no need to have experience in any of the lines of business or within claims generally.
- Demonstrate strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Demonstrate strong teamwork.
- Possess strong independent organisational skills.
- Have good IT (Microsoft Office) skills, including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
