The Opportunity: We are always looking to expand our perspectives within the team, and this role would be perfect for an individual looking to make a sideways move within Insurance and move into Livestock Underwriting. We will also provide all the training needed for your successful transition. Once you are up to speed, you will be carrying out both risk and facility underwriting to develop a portfolio of clients. You will be joining a highly motivated team at an exciting time, as we look to grow our book globally and embrace new ideas in terms of policy development and IT solutions. By joining the team within Equine and Livestock, the successful candidate will be key in building our future profitable growth.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Solve a wide range of problems, big or small, with a relentless aim to find better solutions.
  • Continuously seek improvements in processes, relationships, and technology.
  • Communicate effectively through phone calls, face‑to‑face meetings, emails, and by setting up necessary processes.
  • Adapt to a dynamic work environment where no two days are the same.
  • Collaborate with brokers, clients, and internal teams to gather and verify information and make commercial underwriting decisions.
  • Autonomously develop and implement underlying plans and action those plans that align with overarching goals and targets.

  • Experience in underwriting, broking or claims across any specialism is a plus.
  • Competent level of policy wording preparation and contract analysis skills.
  • Wording expertise.
  • Consistent record of developing new underwriting business.
