Now, we are growing again — and you could be the senior lawyer who leads, shapes and develops the clinical negligence offering.
You will work with leading insurer Markel UK, handling high-quality and often complex defendant work across clinical negligence, EL/PL and specialist sector claims. You will play a central role in strategy, business development, supervision, and the future direction of our practice.
What you will be doing:
- Lead and develop the Clinical Negligence specialism within the Casualty team.
- Manage and grow key referrer, client and partner relationships, working closely with Markel UK.
- Drive business development, helping expand our portfolio and attract new work.
- Contribute to long-term planning, providing mentorship to the team and operational excellence.
- Supervise, mentor and support lawyers, trainees and paralegals.
- Manage your own caseload with full budget, financial and profitability ownership.
- Support the Markel Law Advice Line and Business Hub to maintain quality and provide subject-matter expertise.
- Shape our marketing, PR, communications and online presence within the clinical negligence space.
