The Opportunity:We are looking for a Claims Team Manager to join our Leeds‑based Claims Team on an 18‑month fixed‑term contract. You’ll work from our brand‑new, innovative city‑centre offices right next to the train station. You’ll play a key role in the leadership of our Prompt Resolution Team (PRT) — a team that delivers fast, efficient, high‑quality claims handling for cases where speed and service matter most. What You’ll Be Doing:- Lead & Inspire
- Support the Head of Insurance Claims in running and overseeing the UK Claims Team
- Take the lead on managing the PRT, including coaching, 1‑to‑1s and developing a high‑performance culture
- Act as a trusted deputy for the Head of Insurance Claims when required
- Ensure all PRT claims are handled proactively, accurately, and in line with our Claims Philosophy
- Produce monthly performance reports and quarterly updates for senior leadership
- Monitor team objectives, support development and maintain high service standards
- Manage your own varied caseload across multiple classes of business
- Work efficiently to meet deadlines and drive claims to effective settlement
- Analyse trends, act on feedback, and champion continuous improvement
- Maintain excellent communication with key brokers and partners
- Support oversight of external service providers and TPAs to ensure high‑quality performance
- Contribute to wider team projects and help shape the future of the claims function
You’ll thrive in this role if you have:
- Previous claims experience in Property or EL/PL
- Proven leadership skills — or a clear ability and desire to step into leadership
- Legal qualifications or strong claims expertise with a commitment to studying towards CII
- Good Microsoft Office skills and the ability to learn in‑house systems quickly
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
