Opportunity

The Governance & Delegated Audit team are embedded within the Governance & Delegated function is responsible for the first line oversight of the Product and Underwriting Governance processes, procedures and standards across Markel International.

  • What you'll be doing
  • Participate in the annual reviews of products and in accordance with the agreed framework, including tracking of any Actions arising through to completion.
  • Complete conduct risk assessments across varying lines of business.
  • Provide conduct support and governance assistance, both internally and third-party business partners.
  • Undertake analysis of conduct/Product MI and ability to present the data visually and in a meaningful way for our Conduct Oversight Group (COG).
  • Assist the Governance Manager in ensuring the Independent Expert Review programme is successful.
  • Support and assist management in providing the business with regulatory and technical advice.
  • Support on-going management and oversight of the Product distribution and associated processes.
  • Ensure that for both Open Market and Delegated business that the assurance breach process is adhered to.
  • Assist the team with ensuring the processes within Delegated Audit are followed, including but not limited to Planning Scoping Invoice payment Recommendation chasing Reviewing reports Letter generation.
  • Must-haves
  • Have effective communication skills.
  • Possess a thorough working knowledge of the Microsoft office suite, with a focus on Excel.
  • Must be comfortable with manipulating and analysing data.
