As Head of Regional Broker Development, you’ll shape how the broker community understands, engages with, and champions our proposition. You’ll be a key figure in driving Markel’s UK growth ambition — and elevating our brand in the market. You'll report directly to the Broker Development Director and play a pivotal role in our UK‑wide team.
What You’ll Lead & Deliver:
- Drive Markel’s UK growth plan by identifying, developing and nurturing brokers aligned to our specialist sectors.
- Lead your business development team to deliver strong new business performance and strategic results.
- Build a healthy, well‑managed pipeline across products and services — and ensure robust discipline in follow‑up and conversion.
- Own and grow key broker relationships, ensuring they deliver sustainable value and increased engagement.
- Champion our propositions through deep market knowledge, storytelling and insight sharing.
- Model high‑quality sales professionalism, accurate CRM data, and effective activity reporting.
- Run structured, purposeful broker meetings that support the wider UK sales strategy.
