The predicted salary is between 31500 - 34650 £ per year.
We are looking for a fixed term GP role within the new GP reimbursement scheme with a view to further contract if funding continues. We would be looking for 3 sessions; however, we would be happy to discuss flexibility around the number of days and timings of those sessions.
Main duties of the job

- Some telephone consultations
- Visiting patients in their homes or care home
- Checking and signing repeat prescriptions
- Dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence as required
- Clinical administration including processing of results and coordinating referrals for specialist review

Job responsibilities
As a Salaried GP, you will provide autonomous care for our patients and encourage pro-active management. You will demonstrate safe clinical decision making and provide expert care by undertaking history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care, including appropriate follow-ups.
Clinical
- Provide clinical care to our patients; assessment and management of patients mainly via face to face appointments.
- Use skills and expert knowledge to assess the physical and psycho-social needs of patients with undifferentiated primary care conditions including minor illness and instigating therapeutic treatments based on best available evidence to improve health outcomes.
- Use advanced skills and expert knowledge to make comprehensive and focused assessments, independently and proactively managing care of the patients.
- Promote patient independence and self-care where appropriate.
- Support and work cohesively in a team with other GPs/ANPs and ACPs including providing oversight and mentorship for more junior colleagues.
- Review pathology results and other provider communications to ensure appropriate treatment and care.
- Whilst considering the patient's needs, deliver on targets for the Quality and Outcomes Framework and NHS England/ICB/PCN Contracts.
Regulatory
- Respond to complaints and clinical incidents/significant events as appropriate to ensure robust systems are in place for improving practice through joint learning.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with professional and legal standards.
- Undertake at least one clinical audit a year. Evaluate data and present findings to the Practice Clinical team. Implement changes where appropriate.
- Adhere to the employing practice Policies and Procedures including Infection Control, Health and Safety, and safeguarding. Ensure all mandatory training is completed in a timely manner.

Personal / Professional Development
- Maintain own personal/professional development plan and portfolio thereby meeting the requirements for revalidation through appraisal of own performance.
- Adhere to the annual appraisal process and revalidation requirements.
- Work at all times within the GMC Code of Professional Conduct.
- Provide Mentorship and training of new recruits or students as and when required.
Person Specification
- Qualifications: MBCHB or MBBS or equivalent, MRCGP, GMC registration, Evidence of capacity to work as GP in NHSE, Evidence of defence union membership, Postgraduate qualifications relevant to GP.
- Experience: Experience of working in a primary care environment, Commitment to continued professional development, General understanding of the primary care contract, Experience of using EMIS, Experience of clinical audit and quality improvement activities, Awareness of BECCOR and local schemes.
- Disclosure and Barring Service Check: This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
