We are currently recruiting an experienced Air Source Heat Pump Engineer (ASHP Engineer) with domestic gas qualifications to join our established heating and renewables team. This role is primarily focused on air source heat pump servicing, fault finding, maintenance, and repair, with additional responsibility for domestic gas boiler servicing and breakdowns across private residential properties in the Essex/Herts area.

This position suits a skilled ASHP / Gas Engineer with strong diagnostic ability, electrical fault‑finding experience, and a solid background in domestic heating systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service, maintain, and repair air source heat pump systems (ASHP)
  • Fault finding and diagnostics on heat pump systems
  • Domestic gas boiler servicing, safety checks, and minor repairs
  • Breakdown response across ASHP and gas heating systems
  • Electrical fault finding on heating and heat pump systems
  • System upgrades, component replacement, and remedial works
  • Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Warranty and insurance repair work
  • General plumbing work related to domestic heating systems
  • Provide clear technical explanations and customer support
Essential Skills & Qualifications
  • Domestic gas qualifications: CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1
  • Proven experience as a Domestic Gas Engineer
  • Hands‑on experience with air source heat pump servicing, fault finding, or repairs
  • Formal ASHP qualification (Level 3 Heat Pump / manufacturer training)
  • Electrical fault‑finding experience
  • Strong plumbing and domestic heating knowledge
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Good customer‑facing and communication skills
Desirable (Not Essential)
  • Commercial gas qualifications or experience
  • Boiler installation experience
  • LPG qualifications
  • Renewable energy background beyond ASHP
