We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Legionella Risk Assessor to join our growing team. This is a field-based role covering a variety of client sites across South London, offering the opportunity to work within commercial, industrial, healthcare, and residential environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Legionella risk assessments across a range of site types
  • Inspect water systems including hot and cold systems, cooling towers, evaporative condensers, and process water systems
  • Identify and assess risks relating to Legionella bacteria proliferation
  • Produce clear, detailed, and compliant risk assessment reports with actionable recommendations
  • Advise clients on control measures, monitoring regimes, and management plans in line with ACOP L8 and HSG274
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current legislation and industry best practice
  • Liaise professionally with clients and internal teams to ensure efficient service delivery
  • Support and mentor junior team members where required
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained and calibrated in accordance with company procedures

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong technical knowledge of Legionella control and water hygiene
  • Ability to interpret and apply ACOP L8 and HSG274 guidance
  • Excellent attention to detail and report writing skills
  • Strong communication and client-facing abilities
  • Well-organised with effective time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and reporting systems

Qualifications & Experience

  • City & Guilds (or equivalent) in Legionella Risk Assessment (preferred)
  • Proven experience carrying out Legionella risk assessments
  • Good understanding of water systems and building services
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Membership of a professional body (e.g. Water Management Society or BOHS) desirable

Working Conditions
