Duration: 3 months minimum (with potential temp-to-perm opportunity)

Start Date: ASAP

Hours: 40 per week (08:00 – 17:00)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading facilities and construction team on a healthcare contract based in Orpington. This is a key commercial role supporting lifecycle works and ongoing maintenance within a live hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and manage pricing proposals for lifecycle and maintenance works
  • Liaise with internal teams and external delivery partners to resolve commercial queries
  • Lead contract tendering, negotiation, and establishment of supply chain agreements
  • Monitor and review monthly work orders to identify chargeable works
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, and annual planning activities
  • Manage lifecycle milestone plans alongside operational teams
  • Prepare and present client applications (lifecycle, maintenance, and chargeable works)
  • Oversee performance deductions and analyse month-end financial performance
  • Support dispute resolution and deputise for the Senior Commercial Manager when required

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager
  • Background in construction, FM, or maintenance environments
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing contracts and stakeholders
  • Experience developing business cases and presenting to senior stakeholders/boards
  • Desirable: Experience working within PFI frameworks
  • Strong IT skills, including SAP, Excel, and SharePoint
