Production Team Member in Swindon

Mark Fell Photo Centre is a retail business with two sites in Tidworth and Amesbury Wiltshire retailing picture frames, mounts, as well as offering an image printing and a bespoke framing service. The business also operates on-line with a large and growing customer base. We are looking for a team member capable and willing to learn a variety of roles within our team but primarily to design and cut mounts using a computerised mount cutter, finish picture frames and pack ready for posting. Main Duties Glazing, mounting and finishing picture frames, ready for despatch or collection. Designing and cutting mounts using a computerised mount cutter. Preparing orders for posting. Responsible for neat, tidy and logical storage of stock. Plan ahead and be aware of imminent arrival of goods in order to plan effective storage. Develop excellent product knowledge and ability to recognise products from a wide range. Be aware of apparent low stock, turnaround times, mange waste produce, and responsible for operating at an efficient level. Update our production systems with low stocks, marking orders ready for production, and once completed. We are looking for an intelligent person who can demonstrate their ability to learn a wide range of duties and become competent in following our procedures. We are fast paced, growing business that requires focus and employees need to be comfortable in using production technologies and be able to demonstrate the required level of ability in using these systems. Skills and Attributes required High level of literacy and numeracy. High level of competence with the use of computers; you will be searching, finding and updating orders as they progress through production workflows. Attention to detail and ensuring the final product is to the best of our abilities. Ability to work within a small team with job diversity, but also accept customer driven demands and lead times. Must be practical, with an enquiring mind that wishes to learn. Must be of smart appearance. Must show initiative and a desire to be part of a business that is growing.
