As the Marketing Assistant, you will play an active role in delivering and developing social media marketing, while also supporting wider marketing activity when needed. Working closely with the Senior Marketing Manager and colleagues across the business, you will help bring campaigns to life in a busy events environment where creativity, organisation and teamwork are essential.
This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in detail and finds real satisfaction in seeing campaigns perform online and come together on‑site at live events.
As the Marketing Assistant, you will:
- Support the planning and delivery of social media activity for MA Business events, including creating content for different platforms and audiences.
- Assist with the setup, monitoring and optimisation of paid social campaigns.
- Monitor and analyse campaign performance, reporting results to the Senior Marketing Manager sharing clear insights and recommendations.
- Work with the in‑house studio to create and adapt graphic templates, ensuring brand guidelines are followed.
- Review event photography and videography, choosing appropriate content for use on event websites and edits for social media platforms.
- Create marketing toolkits, materials and HTMLs for sponsors and exhibitors, and gather testimonials for ongoing promotion.
- Support on‑site event delivery when required and provide wider marketing support to the Senior Marketing Manager.
What we’re looking for:
Must‑haves:- A strong understanding of social media platforms and how they are used for commercial marketing.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- The ability to stay calm under pressure and manage multiple tasks at once.
- A collaborative, can‑do attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Experience using tools such as Adestra, Evessio, Adobe Express, Photo Affinity or similar image editing software.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics or other performance and reporting tools.
- Experience supporting marketing activity for events, awards or exhibitions.
