We are supporting our client in their search for a Trading Merchandiser for an FTC with an immediate start. This is a key role within the commercial team, supporting trading performance through data-driven analysis, forecasting, and strategic trading decisions. The successful candidate will be a commercially aware merchandiser, able to quickly integrate into a fast-paced team and hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and report on trading performance across categories, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Manage in-season trading activity, including stock management, markdown recommendations, and sales forecasting.
- Collaborate closely with Buying, Planning, and Digital teams to drive product performance across channels.
- Provide weekly reporting and actionable insights to key stakeholders.
- Support planning and trading meetings with accurate data and commercial recommendations.
- Assist in end-of-season analysis and lessons learned.
About You
- Proven experience in merchandising within a fashion retail or brand environment.
- Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen.
- Highly proficient in Excel and confident working with large data sets.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, reactive environment.
- Available to start at short notice and commit for 3–4 months.
- Collaborative, proactive, and detail-oriented.
