Our client is a much-loved high-end women's RTW brand with a global following, providing a beautiful multi-product range to its loyal customers. They are looking for a Product Developer to join their team, driving the development from design to SMS handover. Working closely with Design, you will take control and drive the sampling and development process. With a strong technical eye, you will work closely with the technical team through the fitting process ensuring the creative vision is realised through the range each season.
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with Design, you will be responsible for driving the development critical path ensuring deadlines are achieved, pre-empting any issues to ensure on-time delivery.
- Build strong working relationships with all internal teams and external vendors, with an understanding of vendor capability.
- Provide technical knowledge and suitability for each product, providing feedback on technical construction and finishes driving the tech packs and ensuring they are complete and informative with all styling details. Amending and checking all details following each fitting.
- Fabric and trim development and ensuring the right aesthetic and performance is achieved, pre-empting any issues early in the process.
- Take responsibility for BOM launch and also tech pack creation with all the correct fit, styling, construction and technical details.
- Management of the handover to production and being available for any queries through production to ensure the correct product is achieved.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience within a similar role in a women’s premium or high-end RTW brand.
- Excellent hands-on technical and construction knowledge.
- Be a self-starter and motivated alongside excellent problem-solving skills and a high level of communication with the factories and in-house team with the ability to build successful relationships.
- A quick learner and able to work within a dynamic team, adapting to the daily needs of the team.
- Excellent supplier management skills with a focus to ensure the creative vision is protected and achieved.
- Excellent organisational skills and a strong team member who can drive this role with a strong work ethic.
- Strong all-round IT skills, including working with Zedonk.
