Our client, a Premium Womenswear brand, is looking for a Garment Technologist to join their head office team on a 12m fixed term basis. Working closely with the wider team, you will be driving the technical aspects of the product process from handover with the product development team through to production. You must have experience and be comfortable working with Knitwear product.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing and driving the garment fittings from development through to production to a high standard.
- Identifying and resolving all quality and construction issues and risk assessing all styles to eliminate any potential production issues.
- Providing suggestions on improvements relating to the process, suppliers, or the fit of the garment.
- Working closely with the factories to consistently review the blocks and sizing.
- Building and maintaining clear brand quality guidelines along with the supplier manual, providing the suppliers with all necessary details to ensure success.
- Managing and resolving any non-compliance issues that arise.
Our client is looking for someone who:
- Has proven experience within a similar role in a Womenβs multi product with exceptional technical skills.
- Must have working experience and confidence working with women's Knitwear.
- Possesses excellent hands-on technical and construction knowledge, with commercial awareness.
- Is a self-starter and motivated, alongside excellent problem-solving skills and a high level of communication with the factories and in-house team, with the ability to build successful relationships.
- Is a quick learner and able to work within a dynamic team, adapting to the daily needs of the team.
- Has experience of working with a wide network of vendors and factories across the globe.
- Exhibits excellent organisational skills and is a strong team member who can drive this role with a strong work ethic.
This role requires someone to start in June. I am also open to speak to any Freelancers who have availability from June onwards.
