My client is a leader in their field, refined Luxury Womenswear, who are known for their outstanding quality with an emphasis on Sustainability. We are looking for a Garment Technologist to support them on a part time basis (3 days a week) for a period of 3 months. I am open to hear from candidates who are either looking for a short-term FTC with flexibility or a Freelancer who has some availability to support on this project.
Working with the team through the process from development to production and quality checking, this role will support the team to achieve deadlines whilst ensuring the high-quality standards that resonate with the brand. Working closely with the team, this role will be responsible for:
- Prepare and maintain accurate technical packs, specifications, and measurement charts
- Review samples at all stages from development through to production, providing feedback whilst ensuring the design aesthetic is achieved
- Provide the team with support in fittings, and following through with the comments and necessary images to support the amendments required
- Drive quality inspections on samples and bulk garments, identifying and reporting any issues, inhouse and externally off site
- Work closely with the suppliers in UK and Europe on all queries ensuring any technical queries are resolved in a timely manner to ensure delivery dates are maintained
- Keep all tech packs and workbooks updated at each stage of the process through all fittings and quality checks.
Our client is looking for someone who has:
- Proven experience within High End Womenswear brands and experience in technical development, garment tech or quality control
- Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive, with a strong understanding of garment construction and fit.
- Effective communicator, able to liaise confidently with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Strong attention to detail with a passion for quality and consistency.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Flexible attitude and a strong work ethic coupled with Excellent Communication skills.
