This is a ship based position. Working an FTC contract, on assignment for 3 months.

Based on board vessels operated by an iconic brand that belong to the world’s largest leisure organisation, the IT Manager role is a truly unique opportunity to be immersed in technology whilst experiencing the ultimate way to work and travel.

Leading our IT Department on one of our Excellence Class of vessels, the IT Manager will provide technical direction and leadership for a team of high performing IT Officers and IT Technicians, who are committed to delivering unforgettable holiday happiness for our guests and providing exceptional operational support for our crew.

Ensuing that high quality IT systems support, advanced troubleshooting and maintenance for a complex, technical environment is delivered consistently and within SLA. Our goal is to be proactive, to minimise downtime and recover services brilliantly when necessary.

The IT Manager will ensure the IT team maintain an optimum level of technical and operational knowledge to deliver exceptional day to day support, providing a seamless operation. This includes guidance on establishing impact, priority, goals and objectives to achieve both growth and excellence.

The role will focus on Service Management; ensuring that incidents are resolved as quickly as possible whilst also making sure that accurate and timely records are maintained in the ticketing system, keeping customers informed and updated of progress. Providing safe, secure and reliable operations, while seeking out opportunities to delight our guests and shipboard colleagues.

The IT Manager will take the lead on high impacting incidents, liaising between the appropriate ship and shoreside teams, providing high quality and timely updates to Shipboard Management and Senior stakeholders.

Collaborating with all business functions to deliver technology which supports our business ambition to deliver that unforgettable holiday happiness experience.

The IT Manager is an ambassador for IT and is dedicated to delivering a service orientated culture that helps our guests to holiday like never before.

Education

Experience

Required

  • Degree or HND level qualification in an IT related subject.
  • ITIL Service Management (V3 Minimum)
  • Experience in managing technology service teams in a complex business environment.
  • Previous experience in an IT technical support role
  • In depth understanding all aspects of IT Operations including Incident, Problem, Request Fulfilment and Change Management.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English

Desirable

  • 5+ Years of Maritime IT Experience (with career progression)
  • Advanced IT Certification
  • Experience in a hospitality environment

Certificates

  • Valid ENG1 medical certificate or equivalent for the duration of each voyage
  • Completion of Basic Training STCW
