Here at Carnival UK, we have an exciting opportunity for an Onboard HR Manager (3.5 Stripes) to join our fleet of ships. Working across both P&O Cruises and Cunard this role is part of the Senior Leadership team on the ship, crucial to supporting and driving people initiatives whilst guiding the teams on all aspects of HR.
Day to day activities of the HR Manager:
- Employee Relations: providing expert knowledge and support to the management teams
- Performance Management: Supporting our onboard leaders to communicate performance expectations and priorities, as well as development planning for optimum business performance
- Culture: Implement HR initiatives to drive culture change based on our Culture Essentials
- Coaching and development: Directly supporting officers to deliver great employee experiences
- Talent Management: Working with fleet resourcing to co-ordinate, deliver and facilitate internal mobility
- Safety: Develop and champion the safety culture onboard
- Leading: Managing a small administration team and the onboard Learning and Development Officer. You will be responsible for ensuring the department delivers its goals and objectives which support great customer and employee experiences
- Welfare Champion: Closely monitor onboard welfare initiatives and manage welfare budget to ensure engagement and retention of crew
Essential applicant requirements:
- CIPD qualified, preferably to graduate level, or other equivalent HR qualification
- HR Management and/or HR Business Partner experience is essential
- Strong operational and generalist background within a high-volume industry
- Previous experience of delivering leadership and management training
- Performance management experience
- Significant employee relations experience
