We’re currently looking for a Night Container Control Clerk at our Tilbury Depot on a 4on/4off shift pattern. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately and promptly recording all aspects of container movements, stock control, repairs, and other depot activities. They will maintain regular communication between the depot, our offices, customers, and both internal and external suppliers. Additionally, the candidate will prepare reports as required and provide support to other team members by covering assigned tasks as needed.

Duties and responsibilities
- Comply with all company health and safety policies
- Control of access and exit gates liaising with HGV drivers booking in and out of the depot
- Record all equipment received and dispatched
- Control of all container stocks and stock levels within the depot to meet the demands of the business
- Input of container repair estimates, monitoring authorizations and updating repair records
- Checking and processing of incoming/outgoing invoices
- Monthly accounts check ensuring all data is processed and submitted accurately
- Issue and reconcile depot equipment release via internal / external systems
- Accurate & timely preparation of daily/weekly reports for MSC Geneva and UK Management

- Proven ability to manage and forward plan within a fast paced, demanding and constantly evolving environment
- Ability to address and resolve day to day business issues with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Good numeracy, literacy, and IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel)
- Be able to demonstrate a professional manner at all times
- Ability to be flexible and meet strict deadlines
- Must remain focused on prioritisation of day to day emails and tasks
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills
- Continued positive attitude to new business challenges
- Excellent team player
- Must be happy to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern
