Duties & Responsibilities

  • Dealing with suppliers
  • Relaying relevant information to both Customer Service and Transport Teams via email and phone
  • Optimise routing to ensure the most profitable solution for container movements
  • Communicating with Ports and Terminals
  • Ensuring correct revenue and costs for movements completed
  • Adhere to cut-off times; both internal and external
  • Liaise with the Team to ensure most efficient planning

We are looking for candidates to apply who have the following

  • Previous experience as a Transport Planner – ideal but not essential
  • Confident and clear communicator – written and verbal
  • Good UK geographical knowledge
  • Can work on own initiative but also as part of a team
  • Quick and efficient problem solving skills
  • Organised at all times
  • Flexibility to meet the demands of the business
