Maritime Transport is one of the fastest growing logistics companies in the UK and market leader in the container transport sector. We\’ve now got a fantastic opportunity for a Driver Trainer based at our Doncaster iPort depot, working a Monday to Friday shift with occasional nights.

Supporting the Driver Administrator and working as part of the training team, you will be responsible for providing all driver training requirements and meeting our commitment to Driver CPC, under our JAUPT-approved training scheme.

As a highly experienced HGV1 Driver Trainer with a working knowledge of container transport and distribution operations, you will be required to assess drivers and provide training, \’on the road\’, to ensure best practice is adopted at all times, in particular in defensive driving, fuel economy and proper use of vehicles and trailers. The role requires flexibility to be able to coordinate with driver workloads. The role involves both one on one training and classroom based courses for larger groups.

You will be an excellent oral and written communicator with the ability to assess driver needs, provide instruction and complete confidential, training reports, as required. Reporting is electronic, so IT literary is a requirement for this role. Training will be provided, but previous experience in a similar role would be a distinct advantage.
